Add a TXT record at GoDaddy

Where: GoDaddy → My Products → your domain → DNS (Manage DNS)

Steps

  1. Click Add New Record.
  2. Type: TXT.
  3. Name: _dmarc. For SPF use @.
  4. Value: paste the record.
  5. TTL: 1 hour is fine. Save.

Watch for

  • Enter only _dmarc in Name; GoDaddy adds the domain. A name like _dmarc.example.com becomes _dmarc.example.com.example.com.
  • There can be only one SPF record; edit the existing TXT that starts with v=spf1.

Screens change from time to time; if yours differs, GoDaddy’s own help is the authority. When the record is in, check it with the DMARC checker; DNS changes can take a few minutes to appear.
