Add a TXT record at Squarespace Domains (formerly Google Domains)

Where: Squarespace → Domains → your domain → DNS → DNS settings

Steps

  1. Under Custom records, add a record.
  2. Host: _dmarc. For SPF use @.
  3. Type: TXT.
  4. Data: paste the record.
  5. Save.

Watch for

  • Domains moved from Google Domains show their records in the same Custom records area.
  • If the domain uses another host’s name servers, add the record there instead.

Screens change from time to time; if yours differs, Squarespace Domains (formerly Google Domains)’s own help is the authority. When the record is in, check it with the DMARC checker; DNS changes can take a few minutes to appear.
