Add a TXT record at Namecheap

Where: Namecheap → Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS

Steps

  1. Under Host Records, click Add New Record.
  2. Type: TXT Record.
  3. Host: _dmarc. For SPF use @.
  4. Value: paste the record.
  5. Save (the green tick).

Watch for

  • Advanced DNS only works when the domain uses Namecheap BasicDNS or PremiumDNS name servers.

Screens change from time to time; if yours differs, Namecheap’s own help is the authority. When the record is in, check it with the DMARC checker; DNS changes can take a few minutes to appear.
